Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will: join an interdisciplinary engineering team that delivers medium-voltage converter solutions for global customers, guiding each project from order receipt through to successful customer acceptance. You will also contribute to the planning and interface coordination of the complete medium‑voltage converter system, including transformers, motors, and control technology.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer who ideally brings solid expertise in mechanical design within the medium‑voltage environment, as well as initial experience in project management.

The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid

This role is contributing to the Medium Voltage System Drives, Motion High Power Division, in Untersiggenthal, Switzerland.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Planning and implementing customer-specific solutions for air- and water-cooled medium-voltage converters within customer orders, ensuring quality, deadlines, and cost compliance, and preparing the associated technical documentation
• Processing customer orders mechanically in collaboration with project management, electrical engineering, production, and system testing
• Providing technical support to sales, project management, and lead engineering, including attending and supporting customer meetings or technical acceptances and presenting technical content when required (max. 5% travel activity)
• Developing continuous product improvements and driving and collaborating on process improvements within the engineering environment

Qualifications for the role

• You hold a Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering and you have strong knowledge of CAD software (Solid Edge / CREO & Windchill PLM) as well as FEM analyses (ANSYS) in the field of mechanics (calculation, validation, documentation).
• You bring prior SAP knowledge in the areas of materials, documents, parts lists, change management, and product configurations (an advantage).
• You are a socially competent, communicative personality with strong customer and results orientation and you work in a systematic and structured manner.
• You have solid knowledge of German and English.
• You have collaboration and communication skills, being known as effective in cross-functional environments.
