Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage heavy civil construction activities, including groundworks, reinforced concrete, structural elements, and large‑scale foundations.
• Coordinate and supervise concrete pours, formwork, rebar installation, embed placement, and curing processes.
• Manage installation of dynamic machine foundations for large rotating equipment (generators, SynCon units, auxiliaries).
• Support civil scope for 345 kV transformer pads, substation foundations, and SynCon building structures.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, civil/structural plans, and specifications.
• Produce daily reports, photo documentation, progress updates, redlines, and technical field notes.
• Identify issues proactively and submit technical questions, RFIs, and clarifications to keep work moving.
• Direct and support civil crews to ensure correct installation, safety compliance, productivity, and schedule adherence.
• Work closely with Siemens site leadership, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain high‑quality standards.
• Ensure all work meets QA/QC requirements, including placement verification, dimensional checks, and materials compliance.
• Participate in look‑ahead planning, site coordination meetings, and sequencing of tasks.

 
Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, utilities, industrial facilities, substations, or similar environments.
• Strong expertise in concrete, groundworks, structural steel, and foundations.
• Comfortable managing crews and pushing production in the field.
• Ability to read drawings, interpret structural details, and identify constructability issues.
• Strong documentation skills: reports, photos, field logs, and technical questions.
• Understanding of civil sequencing, safety, and quality control practices.
• Experience on substation or power‑generation projects is a plus.
• OSHA 10/30 preferred.
