Activities

As an Energy Data Portfolio Analyst, you will work closely with the Energy Data Management team members and focus on two scopes: the Iberian Peninsula Renewable scope, which includes several production sites (solar, hydro, and wind), and the Iberian Peninsula flexible assets scope.

Over the past years, the team has automated most of its processes using Python, PowerQuery, Power BI, Databricks and Alteryx. The operational tasks of the EDM team involve:

• Injecting validated data into the internal database and producing key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting to ensure data quality.

Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining and executing these operational tasks, developing new controls to improve data reliability, and contributing to the issuance of Guarantees of Origin.

This role offers the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the Iberian Peninsula energy market structure, collaborate with Originators, Front, Middle, and Back Office teams, and interact with external stakeholders such as Red Electrica and Redes Energéticas Nacionais. You will strengthen your programming expertise across multiple languages and actively support the migration to next-generation tools and platforms.

• 2-3 years of experience in Power markets with data analysis exposure

• Solid programming skills: Python experience required, proficiency in Excel, knowledge in PowerQuery, PowerBI, Databricks and Alteryx is an asset

TotalEnergies Gas and Power (TGP) is the trading arm of TotalEnergies in the field of low carbon energies (mainly gas, LNG and power). As such it operates in fast-evolving market dynamics influenced by internal and external factors that require constant adaptation and evolution. Uncertainties specific to the trading environment (volatility of prices, supply & demand mismatches) are coupled with those coming from the broader energy sector (climate change policies, changes in the energy mix, developments of new energy sources, etc). In such context TGP helps to ensure growth and profitability to a key segment of the business in order to reach the objective of Carbon Neutrality by 2050.
