Process Engineer | Holland, MI

Salary Range: $76,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process-related production issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes or modifications to existing ones.
• Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Provide process engineering support for new product introduction, ensuring manufacturability and scalability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in process engineering or optimization within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with process simulation software, data analysis tools, and P&ID interpretation.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to identify process bottlenecks, propose solutions, and implement improvements.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, Arena, Simul8).
• Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, or other industrial automation.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
• Advanced data analysis skills using tools like Python, R, or SQL.
