This Position reports to:
Senior Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

Design and execute DCS engineering activities in service projects with low to medium complexity, according to Standard work instructions, quality standards and safety guidelines. Deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite

This role is contributing to Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Apply standard techniques and procedures to perform Engineering assignments in projects.
  • Assists in preparing proposal/presentation of service engineering projects/programs.
  • Identify customer (internal or external) requirements, analyze and document as-is process and
  • process interfaces, discover process gaps, design to-be integration in collaboration with
  • business resources.
  • Creates work plans and cost estimates in own area of responsibility and ensures quality
  • deliverables on time and within targeted cost.
  • Completes risk and opportunity assessments and ensures implementation of resulting actions
  • in one's area of responsibility.
  • Provides technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with business teams to deliver solutions within timeline
  • Assist customer and technical issues, interact with official contracts.
  • Propose continuous improvement ideas, simplification and consolidation strategies.
  • Interact with various stakeholders to understand the customer demands, update self with latest
  • trends and technologies used in processing automation domain.
  • Understanding the complete project life cycle including project deliverables is must.


Qualifications for the role:-
  • Bachelor's Degree in - Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & communications with Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on Process /Safety System Experience predominantly in Application Engineering, HMI engineering ,3rd party Communication, FAT and SAT for Process Automation in any of the domains like Oil & Gas/ Refineries /Petrochemicals. Should also have experience in DCS Hardware.
  • Good Knowledge of Process /ICSS and Safety Systems (Fire & Gas Protection Systems / Emergency Shutdown Systems)
  • Knowledge of IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 standards
  • Knowledge on Brownfield scope of work for DCS - Migrations, Modifications, Retrofits, Upgrades, Service and commissioning
  • Knowledge of UNIX, Windows, .NET, Knowledge of Third-party Communication like MODBUS,OPC, etc.
  • Experience in any ABB systems like 800xA, MOD300, AC800M, will be added advantage.
