CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR (STRUCTURAL)
Location: Qingdao, China
Contract Period: 1 December 2026 - 30 June 2029
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the site construction and installation work of relevant engineering disciplines for assigned Construction/EPIC contracts, ensuring all activities are carried out safely and in compliance with Scope of Work, approved Engineering Standards, and Specifications.
- Participate in constructability reviews as required.
- Review contractors' construction plans and schedules, including method statements and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Coordinate and control the mobilization of contractors to sites, including managing site laydown areas.
- Facilitate the issuance of necessary permits and gate passes at the request of contractors.
- Inspect, check, and test completed project work, or arrange for recommissioning inspections and tests as needed. Initiate Mechanical Completion Certificates.
- Ensure completion and clearance of all Punch List items.
- Review and endorse red-marked up and "as built" drawings.
- Participate in facility hand-over and acceptance, review commissioning procedures, and partake in the commissioning of facilities.
- Review and endorse the Construction Dossier for assigned projects.
- Execute the construction and installation scope associated with the project on time and as per the approved Scope of Work, specifications, and standards.
- Responsible for timely issuance of Permit to Work (PTW), direct and supervise contractor's Construction Team to ensure adherence to PTW conditions.
- Review and confirm site work progress reported by contractors.
Requirements:
- Higher National Certificate (HNC), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Extensive commissioning experience within Oil & Gas projects.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in construction and installation activities, particularly in the oil & gas sector.
- Proven track record in implementing construction industry best practices, systems, processes, and standards.
- Strong skills in construction management, effective communication, and conflict resolution.
