In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. You will act as a Field Service Engineer for Measurement & Analytics, specializing in analytical products such as Gas Chromatographs and FTIR systems, ensuring high customer satisfaction and driving service business growth. Each day, you will plan and execute work with a first-time-right approach while demonstrating a strong sense of urgency and ownership in your responsibilities.

This position directly reports to the Service Manager in Dubai and it is contributing to the Measurement & Analytics Business Line in the UAE region. Main stakeholders are customers, sales teams, factory teams, subcontractors, and regional/global service units.

Key responsibilities:

• Executing commissioning, AMC, troubleshooting, shutdown, and emergency maintenance activities at customer sites
• Identifying technical issues and performing root cause analysis for analytical instruments including GC and FTIR systems
• Preparing material lists and ensuring availability of required parts, tools, and equipment before service execution
• Troubleshooting equipment and process failures while recommending corrective and preventive actions
• Engaging with customers on-site to improve operations, eliminate pain points, and ensure high satisfaction levels
• Coordinating with factory teams, subcontractors, and regional/global service units for technical support
• Supporting sales by identifying service opportunities and contributing to service offer preparation
• Conducting training sessions for customers and channel partners on analytical products and systems
• Planning and scheduling service activities efficiently to meet deadlines and optimize operational performance

Qualifications:

• You are highly skilled in analytical instrumentation tools and methodologies and the industrial measurement & analytics market
• You have at least 7 years of experience in analytical services (experience with GC, FTIR, and analyzer systems preferred)
• Field Service Engineer experience, particularly in the UAE or Middle East region is an advantage
• You are highly adept in analyzer software and ABB analytical product platforms (nice to have)
• You are passionate about customer satisfaction and proactive problem-solving with a strong sense of ownership
• Degree / Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering
• You are at ease communicating in English
• You are willing to travel regionally and globally as required
