What You'll Do

As an Electrical Engineer, you will act as a technical lead and coordinator for the electrical work packages. Your role is central to ensuring the integration of complex electrical designs covering LV/MV distribution, cabling, and containment with wider multi disciplinary inputs. You will maintain design stability, manage technical changes, and ensure that electrical configuration baselines are robust, consistent across interfaces, and aligned with project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical engineering support, ensuring alignment with project requirements, technical standards, and project milestones.
  • Contribute to the development and coordination of electrical designs, ensuring compatibility with interfacing disciplines and project constraints.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including layout, civil, contracts, nuclear safety, hazards, mechanical, I&C, environment, and commissioning teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Support the review and development of electrical design documentation, schematics, specifications, and technical deliverables.
  • Identify and support the resolution of technical issues impacting electrical systems, escalating where necessary to ensure project progress is maintained.
  • Participate in technical reviews, engineering meetings, and project coordination activities.
  • Promote design stability by reviewing proposed modifications and ensuring changes are technically justified and properly assessed.
  • Support the implementation of engineering changes by ensuring impacts are understood and documentation is updated accordingly.
  • Assist with maintaining configuration consistency by ensuring electrical design information and specifications remain accurate and traceable.
  • Monitor the maturity of electrical designs to ensure they meet project requirements and are delivered in line with engineering and project expectations.

Who You Are

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments, ideally within nuclear, energy, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, system integration, design interfaces, configuration management, and multi-disciplinary coordination.
  • Ability to navigate complex technical issues in collaboration with multiple engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proactive and comfortable working with evolving designs and complex change processes.
