Rate: £27.21ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £20.35ph on a PAYE basis

Job description:

Duties:

Manufacturing Assembly Process Engineering focuses on designing, developing, and implementing new or revised processes for assembling the component parts and subassemblies required for a finished product including:

• Application of Lean Manufacturing and Design principles.
• Attend programme meetings at all levels and present where applicable.
• Feasibility of all designs to suit manufacturing build requirements - Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Build process strategy for manufacturing.
• Planning, developing and implementation of all written Processes for manufacturing.
• Planning, developing and implementation of all tooling, jigs and fixtures for manufacturing.
• Process Capability of all processes and equipment, including Dimensional Management applications.
• Quality Planning and Analysis for Manufacturing.
• Ensure adherence to Integrated Production System (IPS) deliverables.
• Manage technical issues and escalate where appropriate.
• Support virtual build events, raising and managing issues where appropriate.
• Support physical builds at Assembly Plant locations (Solihull & Coventry), raising and managing issues where appropriate.
• Developing system logic for lineside equipment

Skills:

• Relevant previous experience of Manufacturing / Engineering processes, tools and techniques including consistent delivery of productivity targets in Manufacturing Experience in the application of a logical approach to Problem Solving
• An individual who is results driven with the ability to deliver operational plans in a highly demanding environment An individual with the ability to prioritise their work load
• A good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas
• An effective team player who supports team members
• Flexible approach to job responsibilities and working hours

Education:

Ideally educated to degree level in Manufacturing or a similar engineering discipline Knowledge of and involvement in the product development phase Understanding of IPS requirements & Lean Manufacturing
