Commissioning and Service Development Manager | 10102 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £50,166 to £54,277 per annum | Grade L | Norwich
We are recruiting for a Commissioning and Service Development Manager to work with our specialist and complex commissioning team.
With significant experience of commissioning and contract management, you will likely have a grounding in delivering operational services for children, young people and families. You will be passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people; you will be detail-oriented and mindful of wider strategy. You will have a project and change management mindset with strong commercial awareness, excellent verbal and written communication, and you will have demonstrable experience of managing key relationships well.
Direct experience in Education, Health or Social Care would be advantageous, but we welcome applications from any sector, and from candidates who wish to work virtually outside of Norfolk and can travel to the county when required.
Our Integrated Commissioning Team in Children's Services plays a critical role in helping to deliver innovative solutions for children and families across Norfolk. We have ambitious plans to ensure that children, young people and families and relationship-based practice are at the heart of what we do, providing better and more integrated services to meet needs across education, health and social care.
In return we think we have lots to offer: the exciting challenge of the role itself, the working environment at Norfolk County Council where we put work/life balance at the forefront, offering flexible, smarter working arrangements underpinned by leading edge technology. There's also Norfolk as a destination, where you'll be surrounded by a unique blend of beaches, broads, countryside and culture.
We might be biased, but we think it's a great role in a great place, working within a well-reputed and supportive team. If you think you have what it takes, we would love to hear from you.
Before you apply, we recommend reading the full Job Description and Person Specification to help you demonstrate you meet the criteria.
For an informal conversation about this vacancy please contact Simon Paylor, Strategic Commissioner at simon.paylor@norfolk.gov.uk.
Working remotely will be a key feature of this role, although your office base will be County Hall. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have good Broadband connectivity in place.
