The Vacancy

• Location preference is south of England (Redhill) as the work is primarily on projects for Thames Water and Southern Water. We can be flexible on location but candidate will need to be able to travel to the region for key meetings and site visits.
• Typically they should have a minimum of 15 years' experience

The role is suitable for technically strong, commercially aware candidate that can work with minimal supervision in multi-discipline teams to deliver engineering outputs to time and budget with a background in Mechanical Engineering in the water industry or other closely related industries.

The projects are predominantly front end, outline design stage and the candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and knowledge:

• Clean water and wastewater engineering systems design experience including equipment specification, pumped station design, plant layout, working knowledge of other discipline needs, preparation of plant and equipment layouts, change and risk management.
• Experience of major pumping station refurbishment would be beneficial.
• Experience of typical standards and practices, CDM, procurement processes and document control.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with a high level of computer literacy.
