Brownfield Production Coordinator (Offshore)

Overview
A leading international energy operator is seeking an experienced Brownfield Production Coordinator to support offshore operations within a major expansion and sustainability programme.

This is a critical coordination role at the heart of offshore execution, ensuring brownfield activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with operational and safety standards. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to manage permit to work processes, support shutdown and isolation activities, and contribute to safe facility operations.

This position suits a hands-on professional with strong offshore experience, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to perform under pressure in a high-risk environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate offshore brownfield execution activities across wellhead and riser platforms
• Support and administer the permit to work system, ensuring compliance and proper preparation
• Act as the main offshore point of contact for all permit-related activities
• Lead daily permit coordination meetings and maintain accurate records of permits and work scopes
• Support shutdown, isolation, and zero energy activities to enable safe execution of works
• Assist with equipment preparation, including depressurisation, draining, purging, and lockout/tagout
• Coordinate with operations and execution teams to ensure alignment of planned activities
• Support simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) to ensure safe and efficient delivery
• Participate in emergency response activities, including mustering and evacuation coordination
• Monitor adherence to safety, health, environmental, and quality standards
• Support restart and reinstatement of facilities following completion of brownfield work
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to best practice development

Requirements

• Higher National Diploma (HND) in an Engineering discipline
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in oil and gas or chemical processing environments
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or coordination role
• Experience working as a process or control room operator (DCS exposure preferred)
• Strong understanding of permit to work systems and isolation procedures
• Proven ability to work in high-pressure, safety-critical environments
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Experience working in multicultural and offshore environments
• Competence in standard IT systems and maintenance or operational software

Working Conditions

• Offshore rotational role (28 days on / 28 days off)
• 12-hour shifts in a live operational environment
• Work involves outdoor conditions, including working at height and physically demanding activities
• Travel and extended stays offshore required
