Job Title: Senior Project Manager (Project Director) for Offshore Wind - Development Stage
Location: Korea
Position Summary
- Responsible for securing development permits for a major offshore wind project
- Management of the overall project master schedule and project budget
- Oversight of relevant permits and management of external stakeholders (community, authorities)
- Liaise with internal teams for key data/information
- Provide regular project reporting on key milestones and controls
- Resource management of the development team
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall project development and management of a 504MW offshore wind project
- Manage joint venture agreements with project partners
- Lead development efforts alongside other teams (PMO, EPC, Commercial, etc.) to deliver milestone deliverables on time and within budget
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team (permitting, stakeholder management, interface)
- Manage project complexity by creating and implementing solutions for improved project economics and viability
- Prepare and present decision materials for the Steering Committee to secure sponsors' approvals
- Manage the project development team as a development director within the project SPC
- Maintain close communication and provide strong leadership to internal and external stakeholders
- Provide regular project status updates and report outstanding issues to the line manager
- Actively engage with relevant authorities and communities
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environment, Business, Economics, Politics, Commercial or relevant disciplines
- Master's degree is a plus
Experience:
Required
- Experience in offshore major project development and/or energy, or other major infrastructure projects
- Experience in managing large projects with budgets of at least $50m, including team management
- Experience communicating with multi-national colleagues
- Ability to communicate fluently in Korean and English
Desirable
- Project management qualification or accreditation
- Proficient with MS Office
- Experience in:
