Project Planner (Offshore / FPSO Projects)

Overview
A leading international energy and offshore engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Project Planner to support complex offshore projects, including FPSO new builds, conversions, and modifications.

This is a key role within the project controls function, responsible for developing and managing project schedules across the full lifecycle. You will work closely with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate planning, performance tracking, and timely project delivery in a fast-paced environment.

This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented planner with strong offshore experience and advanced scheduling expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules covering all project phases, from concept through to completion
• Support tender preparation, including bid planning and execution schedules
• Monitor project progress and support performance analysis and forecasting
• Update and revise project schedules, including baseline adjustments as required
• Perform schedule risk analysis using recognised planning tools
• Ensure compliance with internal and client planning standards and requirements
• Review contractor schedules and planning procedures to ensure alignment with project objectives
• Contribute to the development of standard execution schedules for offshore projects
• Conduct benchmarking and analysis to optimise project planning performance
• Maintain historical planning data to support future bids and project improvements
• Prepare and coordinate project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
• Around 10 years of experience in engineering or construction within the offshore industry
• Strong experience in project controls with a focus on planning and scheduling
• Proven experience using Primavera or equivalent planning software
• Experience working on FPSO projects is highly desirable
• Familiarity with shipyard, fabrication, commissioning, and offshore operations
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering environments
• Experience working in international and multicultural teams
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
