Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. You will provide technical assistance to internal and external customers both in‑house and on‑site, ensuring timely and cost‑effective support aligned with ABB's standard processes and guidelines. You will handle more complex technical support cases and contribute to customer satisfaction by delivering high‑quality service that meets customer expectations.

Work model: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid Some international travel may be required. As part of a global operation, you may also be involved in calls outside standard business hours, giving you exposure to different cultures and time zones.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide Level 2 technical service support for ABB Power Conditioning (PCS) products as part of the factory service support function.
  • Support ABB local units across the world by resolving customer issues, including warranty and lifecycle management.
  • Deliver and lead technical training for ABB teams and customers, including developing training materials.
  • Participate in key field activities including installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting when required.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Significant experience in technical service or field support, preferably with power conditioning or UPS systems.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with PCS technologies, troubleshooting methods, and customer support tools.
  • Mindset to innovate, take ownership, and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Current, valid New Zealand Electrician Licence is advantageous
