Mechanical Engineer - Inverclyde

An established and growing manufacturing business in Inverclyde is looking to appoint a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join their maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity offering a 4-day working week and long-term stability within a highly respected operation.

The Role

You'll be responsible for day-to-day mechanical maintenance across a busy production site, ensuring machinery runs safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. This includes planned, reactive and preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment.

What You'll Bring

• Strong mechanical engineering background within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Confident fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Experience working with mechanical systems such as pumps, conveyors, valves and related factory equipment
• Practical workshop skills (e.g., milling, turning, drilling, tapping) are highly desirable
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on improving processes and supporting production performance
