Your Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be a lead developer for our world-class Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Cell Monitoring Boards (CMB). You will take technical ownership of the mechanical architecture, ensuring our products achieve the perfect balance of mechanical integrity, thermal efficiency, high-voltage safety, and cost-optimized design. You will drive the full development cycle-from initial concept to high-volume production-leveraging your expertise in HV-component design and automotive durability standards. You don't just design parts; you build the structural backbone that protects our electronics in the harshest automotive environments.

Your Role

You will drive the full development cycle-from initial concept to high-volume production-leveraging your expertise in HV-component design and automotive durability standards. You don't just design parts; you build the structural backbone that protects our electronics in the harshest automotive environments.
Your future tasks at a glance
- End-to-End Ownership: Responsibility for (electro-)mechanical products and components from initial ideation and 3D CAD design (PTC Creo) to final production release.
- Standards-Driven Design: Design components according to ISO 16750 (environmental loads) and ensure compliance with LV 124 / LV 148 for mechanical and climatic durability.
- High-Voltage Safety: Implement mechanical safeguards for HV components, focusing on creepage and clearance distances and structural isolation to meet ISO 26262 and SAE J2929 safety goals.
- Thermal Architecture: Lead the mechanical integration of thermal interface materials (TIMs) and heat-sinking solutions to manage heat in high-current balancing circuits.
- Design Verification Leadership: Define and execute/coordinate engineering tests together with the validation engineers in our lab, correlating physical results with simulation to ensure robustness against Shock & Vibration and Thermal cycling.
- Supplier & Lifecycle Management: Act as the technical lead for supplier technical reviews and manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) within PLM systems.
What you bring with you
- Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 5+ years in automotive mechanical design, with a deep understanding of LV and AEC-Q qualified component housing.
- Expertise in high-volume processes like injection molding and precision stamping for battery interconnects.
- Advanced proficiency in PTC Creo and experience with PLM/PDM workflows (Windchill/Teamcenter).
- Familiarity with UN 38.3 (battery transport safety) and general automotive environmental testing.
