Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for executing commissioning activities across projects of varying scale and complexity, working in close coordination with the Senior Commissioning Engineer. The role requires the diligent and efficient execution of all commissioning tasks in strict adherence to contractual obligations, quality benchmarks, safety regulations, and cybersecurity standards. Additionally, the position contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by providing technical expertise aimed at enhancing project execution processes, product performance, and overall system design.

This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation in Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Execute on-site robot commissioning and debugging activities, including program development, process tuning, and troubleshooting across various robotic applications.
  • Monitor and manage project execution through all phases until Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) is achieved.
  • Ensure accurate achievement and optimization of paint process parameters, including DFT, gloss, color matching, and overall coating quality (powder, solvent-borne, and water-borne).
  • Perform robot maintenance, disassembly, mechanical/electrical diagnostics, and conveyor/vision system support, including new model simulations.
  • Utilize expertise in sealant and spraying equipment (e.g., ABB IDFP, Graco PCF, SCA Dozer) and apply deep process knowledge to ensure consistent paint and spray applications.
  • Apply proficiency in mechanical and electrical drawings, atomizers/spray guns, and robotic spray adjustments for precise and reliable system performance.


Qualifications for the role

  • B.E/ B. Tech/ Diploma in Paint /Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/ Mechatronics
  • 2-4 years of experience in Paint Robots, prior work experience with automotive customers is an advantage.
  • Hands‑on experience in automation and paint shop environments, with basic proficiency in robot software tools (Robot Studio, RobView, SCADA, MOTOSIM) and exposure to design tools such as AutoCAD, CATIA, and SolidWorks.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage technical tasks, troubleshoot, and interface effectively with customers in engineering‑driven environments.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) with the ability to create clear technical presentations.
  • Requires extensive travel (up to 90-95%) and strong customer‑facing communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
