Estimator – Seoul

Location: Seoul, South Korea (Residential)
Contract: 12 Months
Schedule: 5 Days per Week / 8 Hours per Day
Rate: Hourly Rate (USD)

We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to support the expansion of a major petrochemical complex in the Middle East. This is a residential role based in Seoul, working within a large EPC environment and playing a key role in the development and validation of capital cost estimates across a complex, multi-billion-dollar project.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed capital cost estimates across design, procurement, and construction phases
• Translate project scope into structured and accurate CAPEX estimates
• Prepare estimates using Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and IFC drawings
• Apply capacity factors, location factors, and contingency allowances based on project risks
• Build and maintain cost estimation models and methodologies
• Benchmark estimates against historical data, industry norms, and KPIs
• Review contractor bids, estimates, and change orders
• Act as a cost advisor to engineering, construction, and external stakeholders
• Collect and analyse cost data to support continuous improvement and future estimates

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in estimating within oil & gas or petrochemical projects
• Strong experience preparing detailed project cost estimates (CAPEX)
• Proficient in Excel (essential)
• Experience with cost databases / tools (e.g. KBase) is advantageous
• Strong understanding of MTOs, estimating methodologies, and cost benchmarking
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary and international project teams
• Fluent in English
