Job Introduction

We are looking for a Projects Engineer to deliver Kitchen Improvement Projects to support service levels on our Wells site.

Role Responsibility

Key accountabilities

1. Lead and deliver a range of projects to support Kitchen Improvement Activities

2. Engage with cross functional teams to research, ideate and implement projects to

support growth

3. Investigate and find solutions to common issues across the site

4. Support Kitchen and Utilities Engineers as required to ensure service levels are

maintained

5. Create and deliver presentations to management and operational Teams

6. Deliver training and support to Operational and Engineering teams to support

project delivery

7. Review project performance and report to senior team

Key areas of work:

PRODUCTION SUPPORT
• Work with the Kitchen Operation and Engineering Teams to create solutions to

common issues
• Engage with All functions of the business to deliver change
• Create a network of support resources to future proof the growth of the Kitchen
• Reporting of key milestones, activities and upcoming events on a scheduled

basis

HEALTH AND SAFETY
• Maintain a safe working environment for all people on site in compliance with

company and legislative requirements.
• Follow all engineering health and safety procedures.
• Be involved in the health and safety team and carry out health and safety

functions as required.

PEOPLE
• Effective communication through formal and informal engagement with operational staff.
• To participate in meetings/trials where engineering input is required.
• Engage and support operational Teams to improve outputs and reduce defects and operational inefficiencies

QUALITY/TECHNICAL STANDARDS
• Maintain machinery in a working order in compliance with quality and technical requirements.
• Follow technical procedures related to general maintenance on site.
• Work closely with hygiene team to ensure proper cleaning procedures are followed.
• Engage with cross functional Teams to reduce food safety risks and maintain exceptional quality standards

NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
• Assist and support the NFD team with trials and equipment solutions where necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

Experience
  • Previous experience of working in an FMG chilled environment
  • Experience of working in a customer-focussed environment

Qualifications
  • Mechanical and electrical certificate (NVQ3 or equivalent)
  • 17th Edition
  • Food production engineering experience
