What You'll Do
As a technical and team leader, you will have a pivotal role in delivering safe, efficient and innovative electrical engineering solutions.
You will:
- Lead and guide electrical engineering teams to produce high-quality technical outputs, including:
- Single-line diagrams
- Control system architecture
- MCC datasheets
- Load schedules
- Act as a technical specialist, providing expertise across all project stages
- Ensure compliance with quality systems, engineering standards, and governance
- Coordinate multidisciplinary designs and manage integration across all engineering interfaces
- Work closely with project managers, design engineers, JV partners, and clients
- Lead reviews of bids, designs, and subcontractor deliverables
- Provide on-site technical support, ensuring safe and correct implementation
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering capability growth
- Oversee budgets, schedules, risks, quality and delivery performance across your portfolio

What We're Looking For
A confident technical leader who brings expertise, collaboration and clarity to complex water-sector projects.
You will have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
- Strong professional experience within the water, wastewater or related engineering sectors
- Expertise in:
- Electrical power systems
- Water treatment control systems
- Integrated system and automation design
- Knowledge of CDM regulations, procurement processes and document control
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
- A proactive, adaptable and solution-driven mindset
Desirable:
- Professional qualification (IEng / CEng MIET)
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience
- A passion for continuous improvement, innovation and progression
