At ABB, we help industries run leaner and cleaner-and every person here makes that happen. You'll be empowered to lead, supported to grow, and proud of the impact we create together. Join us and help run what runs the world.

This position reports to:
Service Team Leader

__

Will you be the technical point of contact for our customers throughout the Netherlands?
At ABB, you work with the latest electrical and digital solutions for a reliable, safe, and future-proof power supply. Within our Electrification Service division, you are the specialist who maintains, optimizes, and troubleshoots low‑voltage installations - right where it matters: at our customers' sites in utility, industry, and transport & infrastructure.

What will you be doing?

As a Field Service Engineer, you're on the road every day solving technical challenges. No day is the same:
  • You install, overhaul, and modernize low‑voltage installations.
  • You lay and inspect wiring, test installations, and ensure everything operates safely and according to specifications.
  • You troubleshoot issues and advise customers on how to improve their installations.
  • After your onboarding period, you participate in our on‑call service - where you're given plenty of freedom and responsibility.

You work independently on-site, but are always in direct contact with colleagues who support you whenever needed.

Your team

You will join a close-knit team of 60 professionals, including 30 experienced service engineers - a group where craftsmanship, knowledge-sharing, and humor go hand in hand.
  • You receive a thorough onboarding with guidance from experienced colleagues.
  • You keep learning continuously - technically and personally.
  • You collaborate on customer solutions and support each other whenever needed.
  • You grow → the team grows → the customer experiences top quality.

What will you be responsible for?
  • Preparing, testing, and commissioning low- and medium‑voltage installations.
  • Performing and recording measurements, tests, and inspections.
  • Reporting on completed work.
  • Participating in the on‑call service once you are fully trained.

What do you bring?
  • A completed MBO-level education in Electrical Engineering.
  • A few years of experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations within assembly and installation work.
  • Good command of Dutch and English.
  • A flexible, solution-oriented mindset and strong technical insight.
  • Driver's license BE.
  • Willingness to work outside regular office hours when necessary - you don't have a 9‑to‑5 mentality.

What does ABB offer you?

At ABB, you get a varied role with plenty of freedom, modern tools, and room to develop yourself.
You can count on:
  • A market-competitive salary aligned with your experience.
  • 13th-month salary.
  • 40 days off (27 vacation days + 13 ADV).
  • Company car.
  • Excellent pension plan.
  • Company laptop and phone.
  • Daily allowance for travel time.
  • Participation in the bicycle plan and a contribution towards your sports membership.
  • Training, courses, and career development opportunities within an international organization.

Why ABB?

Because here you work on installations that truly matter. You make sure factories keep running, hospitals stay safe, and infrastructure keeps moving. ABB stands for innovation, teamwork, and craftsmanship.
Here, you are seen, heard, and supported in your development.
