We have an open position for Engineering Manager for the Czech Republic. Read on for more information:

Job Description:
  • Leading a team of engineers/designers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective and timely technical solutions for customers
  • Planning activities, allocating resources and managing team performance with regard to contractual and financial goals
  • Setting team direction, defining priorities and supervising the fulfillment of KPIs

Customers and projects
  • Ensuring the delivery of solutions according to customer requirements and contractual terms
  • Technical support in preparing offers including correct pricing of resources and risks
  • Building relationships with customers and incorporating their feedback into processes

Technical management:
  • Supervision of technical solutions for projects, identification and management of risks
  • Setting and implementing work procedures and standards
  • Supporting the development of team competencies (training, mentoring, sharing best practices)
  • Collaborating on the implementation of processes in the areas of quality, functional safety and cybersecurity

People management:
  • Organizing, motivating and developing the team in cooperation with HR
  • Ensuring adequate capacities, competencies and effective functioning team

Processes and Improvement:
  • Continuous process improvement and efficiency improvement (including the use of agile methods)
  • Performance monitoring using KPIs and corrective action management
  • Share experiences and implement best practices across the team

Finance, Risk and Planning:
  • Participate in budget creation and responsibility for its implementation
  • Regular evaluation of project progress, risk and opportunity management
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects in the required quality, scope and costs

Testing and commissioning:
  • Ensure testing, inspections and commissioning activities according to contractual requirements
  • Support for validation tests and digital solutions

Company standards and values:
  • Adherence and enforcement of safety (HSE), quality, integrity, cybersecurity and Diversity & Inclusion standards
  • Ensure compliance of projects with internal procedures and requirements
  • Collaboration with project management, production and supply chain
  • Support for the selection and coordination of service and technology suppliers

Requirements:

• University degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automation or a related technical field.

• At least 5-8 years of experience leading technical teams in an industrial or technology-oriented environment.

• Proven experience in managing the development of technical solutions or products, ideally in the field of automation, energy or industrial systems.

• Ability to manage the delivery of projects and engineering activities with an emphasis on quality, safety, costs and deadlines.

• Knowledge of engineering processes and methodologies (e.g. Agile elements, product life cycle management).

• Orientation in the field of industry standards, safety and quality (e.g. ISO standards preferred).

• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performance teams in an international environment.

• Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to collaborate across functions and regions.

• Active knowledge of English and Czech/Slovak (spoken and written).
