Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Ellesmere Port Salary: Competitive Hours: 40 hours, Monday - Friday

The Role

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to maintain and improve plant equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.

You'll carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), respond to breakdowns, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical maintenance and fault finding safely
  • Respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime
  • Work with PLCs, drives, motors, sensors, and control panels
  • Complete PPM tasks and maintain accurate records
  • Support installation and commissioning of equipment
  • Identify and implement reliability improvements

About You
  • Time-served Electrical Apprentice
  • 18th Edition qualification (desirable)
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong fault-finding skills (PLCs, inverters, control systems)
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Proactive, team-focused, and safety-conscious
