Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support the safe and efficient operation of plant and production equipment.

This is a hands-on role where you'll carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), respond to breakdowns, and help improve equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs safely
• Respond to breakdowns and diagnose faults quickly
• Complete PPM tasks in line with schedules
• Work on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, bearings, and gearboxes
• Support installation and commissioning of equipment
• Accurately record maintenance activities
• Drive continuous improvement and reduce downtime

About You

• Time-served Mechanical Apprentice (or equivalent)
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
• Proactive, team-oriented, and safety-focused
