Quality Lead – DEHE Vessel
Location: Offshore, Qatar
Employment Type: 36-Month Contract, Rotational (28 days on / 28 days off)
Working Hours: 12 hours/day, 7 days/week

Overview
We are looking for an experienced Quality Lead to oversee and implement project quality management for offshore fabrication and installation activities. This role will supervise contractors and subcontractors during the installation of jackets, topsides, and pipelines, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards. The position is vessel-based and requires strong leadership and technical expertise to drive quality across all installation scopes.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the Project Quality Plan and ensure effective execution of the Contractor’s Quality Management System
• Conduct construction surveillance to confirm fabrication and installation activities meet project specifications
• Review and approve EPC Contractors and Subcontractors Inspection & Test Plans, quality control procedures, and testing methods
• Oversee welding processes, including qualification of procedures and personnel, monitoring of welding KPIs, and corrective actions for non-conformances
• Attend regular meetings with contractors and subcontractors to monitor progress and resolve quality issues
• Manage inspection resources using approved site inspection services to conduct surveillance inspections
• Conduct training programs on flawless quality and welding practices in collaboration with contractors
• Perform regular site walk-throughs to highlight quality and safety issues and recommend improvements
• Maintain inspection records aligned with the project completions management system to support smooth handover to commissioning
• Implement Deficiency & NCR (Non-Conformance Report) Management processes to ensure issues are identified, recorded, investigated, and resolved

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Engineering, or related discipline
• Additional qualifications in quality, welding, and NDE inspection are advantageous
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in offshore oil and gas projects, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role
• Experience with offshore installation of structures and pipelines
• Familiarity with oil and gas contractors, service companies, or large-scale operating organizations
• Knowledge of quality systems, industry standards, and relevant specifications
• Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and facilitate across teams
• Ability to implement and manage Quality Management Systems in offshore environments
