Control & Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer
Location: Ras Laffan, Messaied, and Head Office (mostly on-site, Qatar)
Employment Type: 12-Month Contract (Renewable)

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Control & Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer to manage and supervise maintenance activities for instrumentation and control systems across multiple sites. The role involves troubleshooting, overhauling, and maintaining field instruments, control valves, DCS/PLC systems, and networked subsystems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise instrumentation and maintenance activities across production and maintenance sites
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with field instruments, control valves, transmitters, and analyzers
  • Conduct overhauling, testing, and calibration of control valves
  • Maintain and troubleshoot DCS and PLC systems
  • Review and interpret key Control & Instrumentation documents, including P&IDs, PFDs, wiring diagrams, system architecture, and functional diagrams
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors for implementation and maintenance activities
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures and quality standards during all maintenance operations
  • Support crisis management and problem-solving during operational challenges

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably production or maintenance disciplines) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Instrumentation or Maintenance Engineer in a production or maintenance environment, plus 5 years in supervisory roles
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation, communications, and digital control/networked subsystems
  • Experience in reading and understanding engineering documentation (P&ID, PFD, wiring diagrams, etc.)
  • Proficient in overhauling and testing control valves
  • Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of DCS and PLC systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
  • Advanced computer literacy
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform tasks safely
  • Dexterity and crisis management skills to handle operational challenges efficiently
