As a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Stationary Equipment), you will be part of a high-performing engineering team within a matrix organization, contributing to complex and innovative nuclear projects that support safe, reliable, and efficient energy infrastructure.
Your Role
- To develop mechanical equipment technical specifications, data sheets, tender packages, and vendor interfaces.
- To perform mechanical design, review, sizing, and selection of stationary equipment for nuclear steam plants and balance-of-plant systems.
- To collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support plant layouts, specifications, testing procedures, and commissioning plans.
- To provide technical guidance to clients on design, operations, and maintenance for large nuclear projects.
- To support project execution through progress monitoring, manufacturing and commissioning support, and design verification reviews.
- To conduct technical meetings, prepare detailed reports, and perform site inspections and testing activities.
- To assess supplier capabilities, review procurement packages, and mentor junior and intermediate engineers.
About You
- Ability to apply advanced mechanical engineering expertise in the design and engineering of stationary equipment for complex process or nuclear facilities.
- Proficiency in relevant Canadian and international codes and standards for pressure equipment and nuclear applications.
- Aptitude for leading technical evaluations, reviewing engineering documentation, and sealing design deliverables as a licensed Professional Engineer.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and client teams.
- Strong aptitude for technical communication, including report writing and client presentations.
