ROLE: Mobile Data Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer

We're looking for a Mobile Data Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer who provides technical support and maintenance for mobile data centre units, ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of critical infrastructure across a variety of client locations. This is a field-based role requiring regular travel, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to operate independently in mission-critical environments.
Role Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and maintenance for mobile data centre units, ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of critical systems across multiple client locations.
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on mobile data centre equipment, including UPS systems, battery banks, generators, PDUs, cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH units, HVAC equipment), fire detection and suppression systems, and environmental/monitoring systems.
• Maintain electrical, mechanical, cooling, and network infrastructure while working independently in field-based or remote locations.
• Liaise with client stakeholders for maintenance visits and outages, ensuring clear technical communication and excellent client relationships.
• Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors performing specialist works.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• Experience working with data centre infrastructure, critical power systems, or similar technical environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS, generators, cooling, and HVAC.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and communication skills, suitable for field-based/remote work.
• Qualified to BS 7671 (18th Edition) in Electrical Installations.
