Hill International is hiring a Technical coordinator with strong metro experience for one of our ongoing projects.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the activities of designers and supervise contractors.
- Convene and lead interdisciplinary coordination meetings and produce minutes of meetings.
- Coordinate all checks, approvals and control activities.
- Rigorously monitor the manufacturer's deliverables (studies, drawings, technical data sheets, etc.) and ensure that they have received the appropriate approval.
- Initiate checks with engineers to ensure compliance with the requirements of the quality management program.
- Order, through the Director, the speeding up of work if a contractor falls behind schedule.
- Gather and distribute information to the specialized engineers
- Identify documents requiring multidisciplinary verification, ensure that they are communicated and follow up on them.
- Identify and coordinate the interactions between the various parties involved in the project (civil engineering contractors, integral system and operator).
- Assist the Planning and Cost Control team in assessing deadlines
- Receive and approve requests for technical changes to the project, and pass on its assessment to the project administrator.
- Estimate the impact on the budget and timetable of any changes to engineering activities.
- Act as a bridge between the site and the engineering disciplines during the construction phase.
- Solve problems and help to resolve technical issues resulting from non-conformity with plans and specifications on site and following up non-conformities.
- Prepare the quality control organization for site activities in consultation with the specialized engineers.
Qualifications
Engineer in the field of systems, MEP, Signaling, Communication, B.Sc. Degree, or with Master degree or plus, worked as Technical Director Metro experience is preferred; 15 years of general experience. French language is a must.
