We are seeking a Project Engineer with an mechanical bias to deliver innovative technicalsolutions in support of our business needs.

This is an exciting and challenging role in which you will predominately offersound engineering solutions in support of project delivery across a wide rangeof technical issues and implement continuous improvement strategies. You willtherefore have the ability to quickly understand complex technical matters andbe able to design and implement your solutions in line with the bespokeengineering challenges of a demanding marine environment.

The diversity of this role includes; project engineering including managementof smaller projects, production of engineering designs and prototypes,reviewing tenders, producing specification documents and reports, producingdrawings in conjunction with other technical staff, undertaking generalsurveying, test & commissioning (both on-site and in the depot). Goodproblem solving skills are key to overcome technical challenges in order toimprove the delivery of our service.

Whilst this role will be based either in Harwich or Swansea, there is arequirement to work on-site at our remote stations located onshore and offshorewithin our jurisdiction. These visits will typical be between a few daysand up to 3 weeks and often outside of normal office hours.

We would love to hear from you ifyou have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

Skills and experience- Experience within an engineering environment
- Working experience of AutoCAD, Autodesk Vaultand Inventor desirable
- Experience of project management techniques.
- Knowledge of HSE, including CDM regulations, within an operationalenvironment.
- Experience of managing contractors.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement rules desirable.
- Experience of budget bidding tracking against agreed targets.
Qualifications
- Level 4 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalentexperience.
- Project management qualification (e.g. Prince2) desirable.
