Overview

An opportunity is available for experienced Senior Mechanical Engineers to support in-house engineering activities on major oil and gas projects in Qatar. This role focuses on detailed design and FEED execution, with a strong emphasis on rotating equipment within upstream and midstream facilities.

You will be part of an engineering team delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions in line with international standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical engineering design activities for FEED and detailed design phases
• Support design and specification of rotating equipment including compressors and pumps
• Review and interpret engineering standards, codes, and project specifications
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Provide technical input into design reviews and engineering deliverables
• Support vendor data review and technical evaluations
• Contribute to engineering documentation and reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university
• Minimum 12 years of experience in mechanical engineering within oil and gas
• Strong experience in FEED and detailed design projects
• Experience across both onshore and offshore projects
• Strong knowledge of mechanical standards, codes, and specifications
• Experience as a Rotating Equipment Engineer, particularly with gas turbines, is advantageous
• Strong experience with compressors and pumps
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team
