JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a Security Engineer reporting directly to the Security Department Manager of Rome Operating Center (ROC), to join our QHSES team based in Rome, Italy.

About the role:

The Security Engineer is responsible for the implementation of a Global Security Program or of Security & Incident Management systems according to her/his scope; covers the security aspects of all Rome OC & Cluster and Projects according instructions received from Rome OC Security Department Manager; ensure that Security and Incident Management Global Practice Standards (GPS) are implemented on Rome OC & Cluster and Projects; supports Local Security Managers / Correspondents within respective Operating Centers and Projects.

Reporting to: functionally & operationally reports to Rome OC Security Department Manager.

Key Interactions:

Internally: Security network, HSE, Medical, Construction, Projects, Communication, Legal, IDS, P&C, Workplace Environment, Travel.

Externally: Private Security Company(ies) - Security Provider(s).

Main Accountabilities:

• Contributes to the implementation and maintains relevant Security plans and procedures according to his/her scope and responsibility.
• Contributes to the realization of the security assessments and inspections, reports inconsistencies and contributes to the improvement of Security and Incident Management Systems.
• Monitors security performance and KPIs according to his/her scope and responsibility.
• Provides support to business/management on security topics under his/her responsibility.
• Conducts and maintains worksite Security Risk Assessment (SRA).
• Ensures POS is available and updated.
• Ensures a Site Security induction is in place, delivered and recorded.
• Participate in setting-up the Emergency Response and Incident Management structure for the site.
• Actions on required physical security measures should T.EN be responsible for site security in Projects & Facilities.
• Participates to the animation of a Global security network on the topics under his/her responsibility.
• Supports in the training of the security network on Global Security programs under his/her responsibility.

Requirements to travel in areas where the Company is currently working, including but not limited to Europe, Middle East and North Africa Area for both short and permanent relocation abroad up to two years, depending on Projects and situation needs.

About you:

• University degree in Security, Crisis Management or Business Continuity or other technical degree with postgraduate courses in Security or related experience in Security field.
• Previous experience or internships in the Security field at companies in the O&G/Energy sector will be considered a plus.
• Experience in security operations or HSE or Construction or Projects execution/operations.
• Good understanding of security environment and regulations.
• Capacity to define resources, organization and plan.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Fluency in English. The knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Good understanding of physical, technical and procedural security measures at worksite level.
• Good knowledge of emergency and incident management.
• Capacity to design and deliver Security training at worksite /project /OC level.
• Good leadership skills, ability to lead in challenging circumstances.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, nights, or weekends.
• High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information; excellent judgment, discretion and diplomacy.
• Ability to remain calm during crisis situations.
