Location: Qatar Offshore
Contract Duration: 36 months (extension possible)
Work Schedule: 12 hours per day, 7 days per week, approx. 28 days per month
Rotation: 28 days on / 28 days off
Role Overview
The Offshore Installation / Construction Supervisor is responsible for senior-level supervision of offshore construction and installation activities across major oil and gas projects. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant execution of offshore operations in line with project requirements, client expectations, and international standards.
The position requires strong offshore leadership and coordination with EPCIC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to support successful delivery of offshore installation scopes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise offshore installation and construction activities on EPCI projects
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and offshore safety regulations
- Act as senior offshore representative for contractor, subcontractor, and vendor activities
- Coordinate with project management, operations, engineering, and marine teams
- Monitor offshore construction progress and support resolution of site execution issues
- Ensure adherence to offshore installation methods, sequencing, and execution plans
- Promote and enforce HSE compliance and strong safety leadership offshore
- Review contractor method statements, procedures, and execution plans
- Support offshore risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety initiatives
- Participate in offshore inspections, audits, and verification activities
- Provide progress updates, risk identification, and reporting to project leadership
Requirements
- Offshore technical or engineering qualification (or equivalent marine/offshore discipline)
- Mandatory offshore certifications (IMCA, IMO, OPITO, MTCS, UKCS, PUWER, LOLER, IOGP)
- OPITO H2S and T-BOSIET certification required
- Minimum 10+ years of industry experience
- At least 8 years in senior offshore construction or installation supervisory roles
- Strong experience in offshore oil and gas EPCI projects
- Experience with EPCIC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
- Strong understanding of offshore standards, procedures, and regulations
- Ability to work offshore on rotational basis
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management capability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard project tools
