EngineeringProcess Engineer role description:
1. Operator Training – Responsible for training operators and ensuring, in collaboration with the training and quality departments, that they maintain their required skills.
2. Monitoring Chemical Analyses – Define chemical process tests, select the appropriate instruments for chemical analysis, and manage analysis results.
3. Technical Support – Provide technical support during machine breakdowns, line failures or breakdowns of process equipment. Support new projects in defining equipment and processes. Coordinate procurement activities with external laboratories.
4. HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) Support – Support the materials compliance program with technical and legal requirements. Provide recommendations on industrial hygiene best practice. Support legal requirements related to emissions assessment (VOCs, GHGs). Manage requirements related to chemical waste within regulatory limits.
5. System Optimization and Cost Reduction Initiatives - Propose and develop improvements to existing processes. Identify opportunities for cost reduction in component repairs.
6. Consumables Management - Monitor the availability of consumables and manage risks related to their supply. Identify and evaluate alternative consumables to address the risk of shortages. Maintain the consumables database and conduct audits to verify shelf life and compatibility.
7. Surface Treatment Documentation and Instructions - Create and maintain surface treatment instructions including grouping labels and washing process data sheets. Support the creation and updating of wash instructions.
8. Supplier Process Improvement and Audit Support - Train process engineers to become IMS ISO auditors. Support the creation and auditing of procedures required for IMS ISO certification.
