We are currently seeking a motivated and hands-on (Working) Foreman to lead operations within our Workshop Turbochargers department in Antwerp. This role combines team leadership with active technical involvement in workshop activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the workshop team by assigning tasks, setting priorities, and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Perform hands-on technical work, including the servicing, maintenance, and overhaul of turbochargers. This includes disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly using specialized tools and equipment.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, maintaining a strong focus on quality at all times.
- Diagnose faults, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide expert guidance to team members and the Head of Technical.
- Maintain workshop equipment, manage consumables, and contribute to the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and performance.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting salary: €4,500 gross per month (excluding allowances and overtime).
- Overtime is compensated in accordance with company policy.
- Annual compensation includes 13.92 months’ salary (12 monthly salaries plus a December bonus and holiday allowance).
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 (with occasional overtime as required).
- Open to both experienced professionals and motivated early-career candidates.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of turbochargers and a relevant maritime background.
- Fluency in Dutch is mandatory.
- Must hold a valid EU passport (no work permits available).
- Valid Category B driver’s license required.
- Must reside in the Antwerp area and currently be based in Belgium.
