Position: Service Engineer Workshop
Schiedam, Netherlands
 
We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Service Engineer to join our Workshop team in Schiedam. This role focuses on the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of engine components within a technical workshop environment.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare tools, parts, and work instructions prior to the execution of maintenance and repair activities.
• Disassemble and assemble engines and engine components with precision and care.
• Carry out repairs, replacements, and overhauls, including basic machining activities where required.
• Perform detailed inspections using measurement tools, testing procedures, and technical expertise.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications accurately.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhancing workshop efficiency.

 
Compensation and Benefits

• Starting salary: €3,500 gross per month (excluding overtime).
• Annual compensation includes 14.30 months’ salary (12 monthly salaries plus a December bonus, holiday allowance, and non-sickness bonus).
• Standard working schedule: Monday to Friday, with shifts from 06:00–14:30 or 07:00–15:30.
• Overtime may be required and is compensated in accordance with company policy.
• Open to both experienced professionals and early-career candidates.

 
Requirements

• Solid knowledge of diesel engines and a relevant maritime background.
• Fluency in Dutch is mandatory.
• Must hold a valid EU passport (no work permits available).
• Valid Category B driver’s license required.
• Must reside in the Schiedam area and currently be based in the Netherlands.
