    Whatwill you be doing?

    We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer (PE) or LeadCommissioning Engineer (LCE) to support the National Grid OPTEL Gen 3replacement programme. Working within the National Grid account, the roleprovides technical assurance across Critical National Infrastructure projects,supporting the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager through all deliverystages. You will scope, plan, implement and deliver installation andcommissioning projects of varying scale and complexity, working closely with field,project and network operations teams. Responsibilities include technicalplanning, BoM creation, risk identification, progress monitoring, on-siteinspections, quality documentation, standards compliance, HSE adherence,stakeholder engagement, technical issue resolution and acceptance into liveservice.

    What you'llbring?

    You will have a strong networking technical background,specialising in circuit delivery, equipment ordering, and services andsolutions delivery. A basic understanding of CWDM, DWDM, SDH, Carrier Ethernet,MPLS-TP, SYNC and OTDR is required, alongside telecoms DC power principles,fibre installation and testing, and multi-protocol testing. You will take aproactive approach to managing tasks and issues, be proficient in MicrosoftOffice, and ideally have experience in Critical National Infrastructure, designassurance, regulatory engagement, or technical governance roles.
