Whatwill you be doing?
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer (PE) or LeadCommissioning Engineer (LCE) to support the National Grid OPTEL Gen 3replacement programme, primarily within the survey team. The role involvesweekly nationwide travel as part of a multi-discipline survey team. Working onCritical National Infrastructure projects, you will provide technical assuranceacross delivery, supporting the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager. Therole focuses on undertaking and coordinating detailed site surveys, ensuringaccurate site data is captured, analysed and communicated to inform design,build planning, risk management and safe delivery. Post-survey, the roleincludes project engineering activities such as BoM creation, inspections,quality documentation, technical coordination and stakeholder engagement.
What you'llbring?
You will be an experienced Project Engineer with strongdetailed survey knowledge and a networking technical background, specialisingin circuit delivery, equipment ordering, and services and solutions delivery.You will understand CWDM, DWDM, SDH, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS-TP, SYNC and OTDR,alongside telecoms DC power principles, fibre installation and testing, andmulti-protocol testing. You will take a proactive approach to managing tasksand issues, be proficient in Microsoft Office, and ideally have experience inCritical National Infrastructure, design assurance, regulatory engagement, ortechnical governance.
