Whatwill you be doing?
The Project Engineering Manager leads the safe, compliantand efficient technical delivery of complex Critical National Infrastructureprojects within a regulated National Grid environment. As the senior authorityfor engineering assurance, the role ensures all technical solutions align withdesign intent, statutory and industry standards, and client governance fromconcept and tender through delivery, commissioning and handover. The roleprovides clear technical direction, resolves complex engineering challenges,and ensures robust documentation, assurance evidence and change control acrossthe project lifecycle. Championing a proactive safety, quality and complianceculture, the role embeds right-first-time engineering, continuous improvementand consistent standards. Strong stakeholder engagement with clients, partnersand regulators ensures transparency, confidence in delivery, high operationalperformance and customer satisfaction.
What you'llbring?
You will bring extensive experience managing technicaldelivery within construction, utilities or engineering project environments,with deep knowledge of engineering design principles, networking orinfrastructure systems, and construction methodologies. You will have provenleadership experience overseeing engineering or multidisciplinary teams,alongside strong capability in risk management, governance, quality assuranceand safety compliance. You will demonstrate success delivering complextechnical projects on time, within budget and to required standards, withexcellent communication, stakeholder management and decision-making skills.Experience in Critical National Infrastructure, design assurance, regulatoryengagement or technical governance is advantageous.
