Activities
What You'll Do
SCADA Ownership & Grid Integration
- Lead hands-on SCADA implementation, operation, and maintenance across utility-scale renewable projects.
- Ensure SCADA systems and Power Plant Controllers (PPCs) meet grid integration and operational requirements.
- Support interconnection compliance across markets including ERCOT, CAISO, and PJM.
- Ensure compliance with TotalEnergies IT, OT, and cybersecurity standards.
- Work closely with internal IT, cybersecurity, and OT stakeholders to maintain secure, reliable infrastructure.
- Support Active Directory usage within OT environments.
- Implement and manage third-party integrations using APIs, SFTP, OPC-UA/DA, and other protocols.
- Enable automated workflows, real-time monitoring, and end-to-end data streams.
- Build and manage tools that support automated data acquisition and performance analysis.
- Partner with EPCs, SCADA integrators, OEMs, utilities, O&M contractors, and internal teams through all project phases.
- Review vendor submittals and ensure compliance with technical standards and exhibits.
- Act as a technical influencer-driving alignment across diverse stakeholders.
- Own the collection, organization, and filing of SCADA and OT/IT project documentation.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for critical incident escalation.
- Support fleet-based operations across a regional portfolio.
Candidate Profile
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting SCADA and OT/IT operations for utility-scale power generation in the U.S.
- Strong expertise with Ignition SCADA (implementation and maintenance).
- Experience with SCADA protocols and infrastructure including MODBUS, DNP3, OPC, TCP/IP, serial, fiber, switches, and firewalls.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, VPNs, firewalls).
- Experience integrating:
- Substation devices (SEL RTACs, relays, meters)
- Array devices (inverters, trackers, met stations)
- Utility-owned RTUs
- Familiarity with NERC compliance from a SCADA/OT perspective.
- Fluent English and a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Official Ignition Certification (or completion of Inductive University training).
- Experience supporting multi-site or fleet-level operations.
- Knowledge of solar technologies; energy storage and wind experience a plus.
- Experience with SEL products and utility telemetry standards.
- Strong communicator who can lead technical discussions across vendors and internal teams.
- Influential, collaborative, and results-oriented.
- Comfortable operating in fast-changing regulatory and operational environments.
