Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

Solar PV System Design

• Develop detailed electrical designs for utility-scale, commercial and industrial solar PV systems.
• Perform load analysis, system sizing, Cable Sizing, Circuit Breaker sizing and energy yield calculations using industry-standard tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or equivalent software.
• Create single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, and layout drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
• LV, MV and HV interconnection and design knowledge and assessment.

Feasibility Studies and Site Assessment:

• Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate solar resource potential and system compatibility.
• Analyze geographic, climatic, and shading factors to optimize design and performance.

Technical Specifications and Procurement:

• Prepare technical specifications for solar components such as inverters, modules, and mounting structures.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate vendor proposals and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Project Coordination and Oversight:

• Work closely with project managers, civil engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless execution of solar projects.
• Provide technical support during initiation, design, construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Compliance and Standards:

• Ensure designs comply with local and international electrical codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant legislation.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

• Stay up to date with emerging solar technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

-Implement industry's best practices for design and project execution.

Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent

-Relevant proven projects track record and history

Experience & Skills

-0-2 years of experience in a relevant role, preferably in the Solar Energy industry in the Middle East.

-Language: Professional proficiency in English required, and fluency in Arabic is a plus.

-Interpersonal: Effective communication skills (written and verbal).

-Analytical: Good Technical knowledge relating to solar system
