As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will lead and supervise engineering activities to ensure they meet all technical specifications, statutory requirements, and contractual obligations. In this role, you will be involved in defining project schedules and scopes of work, coordinating multi-discipline teams, and implementing essential work instructions to ensure project success.
About the position
The Principal Electrical Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all electrical discipline designs are developed in accordance with client documentation, authority regulations, and company governing documents. You will oversee the delivery of high-quality technical work, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time while proactively managing information exchange across various project roles. This position involves significant collaboration, as you will lead personnel, report progress to superiors, and maintain optimum manning levels to meet project targets. Ultimately, you contribute to the project's bottom line by managing budgets, identifying cost reductions, and fostering a safe, ethical, and productive working environment.

Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of experience within Onshore/Offshore Oil & Gas industry
- Extensive knowledge of international Codes and Standards, including IEC, IEEE. Knowledge of NORSOK is an advantage
- Practical understanding within electrical discipline
- Experience working with brownfield projects is an advantage
- Experience working with Equinor`s facilities is an advantage
- Competence in E3D, MicroStation, Navisworks
- Competence in calculations (typical FebDok and Tracecalc)
- A good command in English, both written and spoken is essential due to multinational collaboration
