As a Principal Process Engineer, you will lead process engineering teams and set the premises for overall design in upstream projects. In this role, you will be involved in managing technical interfaces across multidisciplinary teams, overseeing complex process simulations, and ensuring the timely delivery of engineering components for project proposals..

About the position

In this position, you will hold a key role within the upstream discipline, establishing the design premises for Aibel's diverse project portfolio. You will lead a process team in Thailand while collaborating across multiple global offices to develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets alongside project managers. Your work involves managing multidisciplinary technical interfaces and conducting rigorous reviews of critical deliverables, such as P&IDs, process simulations, and hydraulic calculations. Additionally, you will represent the process discipline in essential project reviews, including HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL, while supporting the technical development of staff through training and mentorship.

Qualifications
  • Technical College, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering
  • Minimum of 12 years of design experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 5 years leading a team of engineers and designers.
  • Extensive experience in conceptual, front-end, and detailed engineering for both greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Expertise in process simulations and analytical tools such as UniSim, Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Flare System Analysis, Vessfire, Pipenet and HTRI.
  • Strong command of international codes and standards including API and ASME.
  • Fluency in English is required for this role.
