Civil / Structural Engineer - Dubai/Saudi Arabia

Location: Dubai, UAE (with frequent travel to Saudi Arabia)

We are supporting a major gas infrastructure expansion programme in the Middle East and are looking for an experienced Civil / Structural Engineer to join the Project Management Team (PMT) during the EPC execution phase. The programme forms part of a large-scale strategy to expand gas processing and distribution capacity across the region, supporting industrial growth, energy efficiency, and lower-emission power generation through major upgrades to compression, transmission, and processing infrastructure. This role is ideally suited to candidates with previous PMC/PMT experience on major oil & gas EPC developments. You will support the delivery and oversight of EPC scopes related to civil and structural works for large-scale compression and process facilities. Working closely with contractors and project teams, you’ll ensure engineering quality, construction compliance, and timely execution across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee civil and structural engineering activities during EPC execution
• Review designs for foundations, steel structures, pipe racks, buildings, and process facilities
• Ensure compliance with international standards and project specifications
• Support modular structure reviews including lifting, transportation, and load-out analysis
• Review contractor deliverables, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
• Support technical query resolution and change management activities
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams
• Monitor contractor performance and engineering quality
• Participate in procurement and technical evaluation activities

Candidate Profile

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 10–15 years’ experience within oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy infrastructure projects
• Previous PMC/PMT experience essential
• Strong EPC project execution experience
• Familiar with international design codes and standards (IBC, American & British codes, etc.)
• Strong experience with heavy foundations, process structures, and industrial facilities
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Fluent in English
