This position would be responsible to perform duties as an Engineering team member to develop or optimize equipment and provide technical support within Weatherford's Surface Pumping Unit product line.

This position would be responsible to perform duties as an Engineering team member to develop or optimize equipment and provide technical support within Weatherford's Surface Pumping Unit product line.
Responsibilities
- Prepare / co-ordinate detailed design including calculations, FEA analysis, CAD data, drawings, and related manufacturing data.
- Coordinate with various manufacturing entities to provide engineering support. Coordinate prototype/ first article manufacturing and qualification.
- Interact with engineering teams in other international locations as part of a Project team.
- Apply various API, US, Canadian and European design, and safety standards in the design development process.
- Perform and/or co-ordinate relevant lab tests to validate designs.
- Provide support to operations in troubleshooting issues with various types of Surface Oil Pumping units and control systems.
- Perform relevant analysis and calculations to assist in field failure analysis.
- Liaison with clients and vendors as needed to provide Engineering support.
- Understand Weatherford Quality Policies and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures, and Workplace Instructions.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Skills
- Experience with Oilfield operations and in particular Artificial Lift Systems.
- Experience in a fabrication environment. Knowledge of various welding and machining methods.
- Experience working in field operations providing failure analysis, technical support or field trials.
- Experience in using PTC Windchill/PDM system.
- Multi-lingual.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Structural Engineering or similar discipline from an accredited university.
- 1-3 years of Mechanical, Structural, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or field support experience.
- Experience in PTC Creo (Pro/Engineer) or similar 3D CAD programs.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed to support operations and manufacturing.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication.
