The position is for Mozambique LNG project.

• US $20 Billion investment, 17,000-acre LNG facility site that includes private airstrip, marine facilities, and 18 subsea wells - 5-year construction period, utilizing a staff of 1500+ employees and contractors based in Houston, Milan, Paris, Singapore and Mozambique

• Mozambique LNG is a subsea (1,400m) to shore dry gas field development located in the norther part of Mozambique with 12.88 MTPA from 2 Initial Trains - 25-year production period

• The subsea field will be developed via 18 subsea wells, 7-production manifolds, 1-MEG manifold, 3 x 22in trunk lines, a 6in and 8in MEG lines, 18 x 10in in-field flowlines, 2 x 4in in-field MEG lines, associated ILTs and PLETs for all pipelines, 25 control modules, 4 onshore umbilicals, 2 main tie-back umbilicals, 5 in-field umbilicals, 12 UTA assemblies, 189 electro hydraulic flying leads, 48 x 10" flexible jumpers, rigid jumpers and spools

Job Description

The Landfall Field Engineer / Onshore Works Lead is reporting to the Afungi Upstream Installation/ Construction Manager and will oversee the contractors' onshore activities in Afungi at the Beach Landing Area (BLA) or area A1-29. The scope of responsibilities includes land preparation, excavation, civil works, foundations, pipeline and umbilical pull-ins, onshore pipeline construction, BVS/BCA installation and connection, and all associated works. Some precommissioning activities will also be under the Landfall FE scope of work. The Contract has a value of circa 2.5 Bn USD and has been awarded in 2019 to a two-member consortium composed of Van Oord Offshore and TechnipFMC. The scope of the infrastructure to be installed under the contract can be summarized as; export pipelines (gas, 22in rigid pipelines), Service line (MEG, 8in and 6in rigid pipelines), rigid jumpers, flexible jumpers, manifolds (and piles), umbilical's, PLETs / ILTsstructures(and foundations), sleepers, mattresses, flying leads and flexible pipe jumpers. The job holder is expected to assess, manage, and control the Landfall works of the project and ensure the readiness and preparedness of MTV for these activities. The job holder shall oversee the landfall works activities in line with agreed execution plans and the Project HSEQ management system. Initially in short missions to MTV offices in the Netherlands, the Landfall Onshore Works Lead is expected to be a 28/28 rotational schedule during the execution of the work in Afungi camp, Mozambique.

Project Management

• Provide management and leadership at the Landfall Works location during all project phases.

• Ensure safe, on time and within budget delivery of all Landfall Works related elements of the EPCI scope of work whilst ensuring a high level of quality consistent with a project design life of 30 years.

• Monitor and manage all facets of work within the Landfall Works scope of work to ensure that schedule, cost / budget, technical, quality and HSES requirements are, as a minimum, met or improved upon.

• Bring to earliest attention of the Afungi Upstream Installation / Construction Manager issues which present a significant threat to the Project and in addition offer mitigating measures / work plans.

• Provide reporting function towards all stakeholders for the Landfall Work activities.

• Ensure that the readiness reviews inclusive of the equipment inspections are prepared and close out of the findings are performed.

• Ensure that all Landfall Work activities are performed in compliance with project technical requirements and fit for purpose.

• Ensure identification and resolution of detailed interface issues, in conjunction with other managers / senior discipline engineers, in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Qualifications

Minimum of 15 years relevant track record in in offshore construction industry including landfalls, land pipelines. • Sound experience in management of onsite contractors.

• Ability to develop good working relationships with contractors and contractor personnel and progress collaborative problem solving.

• Fluid communicator capable to represent the project in front of third parties and other stakeholders in a professional and organized manner.

• A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent is required with geotechnical civil or mechanical engineering preferred.
