Senior Civil Structural Engineer Offshore

Job Summary

• Opportunity for an experienced Civil Structural Engineer to support offshore oil and gas engineering projects across concept development FEED detailed design and commissioning phases
• The role involves delivering high quality engineering solutions within a multi discipline project environment while ensuring compliance with safety technical and operational standards
• Ideal for candidates with strong offshore structural engineering experience and a background in major energy projects

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical design and engineering support for offshore civil and structural engineering projects
• Deliver engineering activities from concept definition through FEED detailed design and commissioning
• Ensure compliance with company engineering standards safety procedures environmental requirements and industry codes
• Conduct engineering studies technical assessments and in house site surveys
• Review technical deviations variations and engineering documentation for compliance with approved standards and practices
• Support the review and development of internal engineering standards and amendments to external codes
• Coordinate with multi discipline engineering teams to ensure timely project delivery
• Develop and review engineering scopes of work ensuring clarity and completeness
• Review and approve contractor method statements and resolve technical issues where required
• Support project planning scheduling and progress monitoring activities
• Participate in technical bid evaluations and contractor assessment activities
• Review and assess contract variations and engineering change requests
• Support knowledge sharing and development of technical competency within the engineering team

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• Chartered Engineer Professional Engineer or equivalent certification preferred
• Minimum 10 years post graduate engineering experience
• Minimum 6 years experience within the oil and gas industry
• Strong knowledge of offshore civil and structural engineering standards codes and industry practices
• Proven ability to manage engineering quality cost and schedule within multi project environments
• Experience supporting FEED detailed design and commissioning activities
• Strong communication coordination and presentation skills
• Fluent English communication skills required
