Job Title: Civil and Structural Engineer

Location: Sweden

Job Description:

Mission

• Perform technical tasks assigned by the Civil and Structural Lead, related with calculation, verification and checking activities, in order to ensure compliance with project requirements in terms of budget, time schedule and quality standards
• Interface with the other discipline Specialists to gather information and coordinate activities performed inside or outside the Company
• Gather and provide record of experiences in order to improve and harmonize work methodologies

Tasks

The Engineer executes the activities within his area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements. Tasks include:
A. Development Technology know how and Commercial support

• Provide technical suppor to the Civil and Structural Lead

B. Feasibility

• Provide technical support

C. Bidding phase/Commercial proposal development

• Analyse and understand Tender documentation
• Define preliminary calculation to provide optimized quantity estimation
• Identify technical queries, deviations and alternatives to be submitted or implemented
• Implement the bidding methodologies, the design criterias and guidelines
• Provide technical support to Discipline leader for preparation of request for quotation for items not estimated in house
• Prepare technical specification for SOW for soil investigation/topographical survey

D. Project Execution (Job progress and completion)

• Review contract project technical documentation and requirements
• Prepare design specifications for concrete foundation and steel design
• Maintain project technical files
• Set up and execute assigned engineering activities such as detail design, verification and studies relevant to any engineering topic associated to Discipline, pursuing objectives of sound engineering and design optimisation in term of costs, fabrication ease and safety
• Control subcontracted discipline engineering documents
• Develop studies and calculation notes for reinforced concrete, piling works, steel structures (including connection details) and structural concrete/steel buildings
• Prepare SOW and technical documentation for soil investigation contract
• Issue the technical bid tabulation for all geotechnical calls for tender
• Validate and issue project geotechnical specifications
• Provide technical support to Discipline Lead for preparation of technical specification
• Support the Discipline Lead in technical interface with Client
• Provide design alternatives to prevent or mitigate quantities increase during execution
• Support the Discipline Lead to prepare technical evaluation

E. Construction and start up

• Provide support field engineering at site
• Assist when necessary, engineering adjustment on site

What are we looking for?

Education: Master's Degree/bachelor's degree in: Engineering

Experience: 5 years as a Civil and Structural Engineer within the oil and gas sector.

Languages: English Language skills required (and any other specified by Project)

Technical Skills: N/A

IT Skills: N/A
