Under the responsibility of the Performance & Engagement Manager, the Project Senior Quality Lead is accountable for defining, deploying and sustaining the Project Quality Management framework across the full project scope (SURF, SPS, FPSO, FOPS, Drilling & Wells, GSR).
The role aims at anticipating quality risks, managing changes, securing compliance with Company and Project referential, and supporting delivery performance, through transversal coordination and continuous improvement.
The position acts as a project performance enabler, fully embedded in execution governance. The service holder will ensure deployment and maintenance of the Project Quality Management framework. The service holder will participate in transversal project governance and quality-related reviews.
ACTIVITIES
Project Quality Management
1. Define, deploy and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring it remains fit for purpose, lean and operational throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Ensure compliance of Project and Contractors’ activities with Statement of Requirements, contractual obligations, technical referentials, Company rules and applicable standards.
3. Prepare, implement and monitor Internal and External Audit plans (Project, Contractors, major Subcontractors), including action tracking and close out.
4. Review and challenge Contractors’ key Quality documents (Project Quality Plans, ITPs, procedures, audit schedules) to ensure coherence, adequacy and contractual compliance.
5. Manage the Project QMS register (procedures, plans, specifications, referentials).
6. Capitalize on lessons learned from comparable deepwater developments and ensure effective implementation.
7. Ensure exemplary behavior and compliance with Company Ethics, Code of Conduct and Anti‑Corruption requirements, and actively promote and enforce the Project Anti‑Corruption Program within all interfaced activities.
Management of Change (MoC)
8. Act as the Project focal point for the Management of Change (MoC) process, ensuring consistent application across all Project Packages (SURF, SPS, FPSO, FOPS, D&W, GSR).
9. Ensure that all changes impacting technical scope, requirements, cost, schedule, quality or project referentials are properly identified, assessed, documented and approved in accordance with Company and Project governance.
10. Coordinate MoC interfaces between Package teams, Engineering, Project Controls, HSE and Contract Management, ensuring alignment and traceability of impacts.
11. Support Package Managers in anticipating change impacts, ensuring decisions are supported by robust risk, cost, schedule and quality assessments.
12. Ensure traceability between MoC, Quality issues, risks, actions and lessons learned, contributing to overall project performance and decision reliability.
13. Escalate critical or cumulative changes to the Performance & Engagement Manager, highlighting potential impacts on project objectives and delivery commitments.
Transversal Coordination & Package Interfaces
14. Coordinate Quality activities across all Packages (SURF, SPS, FPSO, FOPS, D&W, GSR).
15. Animate regular Project Quality reviews with Package teams to identify emerging risks, deviations, non conformities and interface issues.
16. Coordinate Quality surveillance activities (audits, visits, inspections) with Package teams and Contractors.
17. Facilitate coordination between Packages, Project team and Contractors to ensure timely issue resolution.
18. Functionally coordinate QA/QC Leads and Engineers across Packages (no line management responsibility).
Issue, Risk & Action Management
19. Identify, log, investigate, monitor and close out Quality related issues, non conformities and actions impacting project delivery.
20. Ensure corrective and preventive actions are timely, robust and address root causes.
21. Monitor Contractors’ Quality performance and recurring deviations.
22. Escalate critical Quality risks and deviations to the Performance & Engagement Manager with clear analysis and mitigation proposals.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
23. Contribute to KPI definition, dashboards and Quality performance monitoring.
24. Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to execution efficiency, interfaces management and Quality maturity.
25. Coordinate deployment of the Project Quality Culture.
HSE & Quality Interface
26. Demonstrate exemplary HSSE behavior and ensure HSSE rules and requirements are fully embedded and applied within Quality processes and interfaced Project activities.
27. Pay specific attention to HSE related Quality interfaces between Packages and Contractors.
28. Participate in site and yard visits when relevant and translate feedback into Quality improvement actions.
Reporting & Governance
29. Provide concise, factual and regular Quality reporting (KPIs, trends, audits, key risks) to the Performance & Engagement Manager.
30. Support Partner and Concessionaire interfaces on Quality topics, including workshops and committees when required.
31. Contribute to project close out reports and structured lessons learned feedback to Headquarters.
32. Ensure confidentiality of all documentation related to Quality Management.
ACCOUNTABILITY
• Effectiveness and robustness of the Project Quality Management System.
• Effectiveness and robustness of the Project Management of Change (MoC) process.
• Early identification, capitalization and deployment of lessons learned (REX) throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring continuous improvement and avoiding repeated deviations.
• Early identification and mitigation of Quality risks.
• Timely closure of Quality issues and actions.
• Contribution to overall delivery performance (cost, schedule, scope).
• Promotion of lean, pragmatic and integrated Quality practices across the Project.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
≥ 10 years in Oil & Gas projects, including offshore developments.
Confirmed experience as Quality Engineer or equivalent, with significant exposure to transversal coordination and interface management in complex projects.
Engineering degree / MSc, or equivalent.
Specialization:
Quality Management in large Oil & Gas projects, with proven experience in:
- transversal coordination and interfaces management,
- Quality issue management, continuous improvement and performance support.

• Lean six sigma certification is a plus.
